  4. Well your right on the money Stephen, with a lot of the science fiction and fantasy being written nowadays I have pretty much dubbed it "clone fiction", though there are some bright sparks out there.

    I feel that since Lord of the Rings was released way back in 2001, a lot of the blurbs on books have the same feel "big dark lord threatens world, small fellowship from unknown town bands together to stop it", some of it can be quite interesting while others feel like I've read this before.

    I myself continue to read a lot of short fiction from the turn of the 20th century, Burroughs, Asimov, Lovecraft, Howard, just to name a few.
