  1. I can certainly appreciate the sentiments expressed in today's post. Music has changed, but I think that is a continuous thing. The one thing that remains the same is change. That applies to the music industry and for pretty much every angle of artistry.

  2. I can tell you at least one reason why I dislike most of what is on television today. Reality shows. For the most part, they are the farthest things from reality. I won't bore you with my details, but that's totally how I feel.

  3. More and more I find television mindnumbingly offensive, esp advertising - with regards womens rights we're doing a speedy back trot and its give me the shivers... so the way things are changing suits me, its more 'power to the people' than business tycoons shaping what we hear and consequestly (think we)like :)

    1. love this! glad we see eye to eye! I think were more intelligent and informed now as well. TV seems to be cater for people that just receive information and believe that it is true rather then sourcing out and finding their own truth.

  4. Well said! I couldn't agree more. And I think Angela hit it spot on - change is constant!

  5. That's why I am a fan of progressive rock. It's complex and ever changing. You won't hear it on the popular radio stations, but it thrives regardless because people want something more than vanilla music.

  6. I am in full agreement with your assessment! I often find it hard to find original and depend on people like you and others on the internet to expose me to new sounds.

  7. I hate t.v. Okay...I'm a liar. I watch like 40 hours of programming every week. Seriously. I'm a huge t.v. consumer and confirmed couch potato.

  8. I didn't have a TV for about 3 years, and now that I have one I still don't really watch TV. I do watch heaps of DVDs though - ones that I like and have chosen specifically. That have no adverts!

Ads actually make me furious... like I feel my chest getting all tight and my fists clench and my teeth grind together in frustration. That's how much I hate watching ads on TV.
