Women Think With Their Knees

Over this past weekend, I decided that women think with their knees. Read the excerpt from String Bridge below, which explains my theory, and tell me, if you are a woman, do you think with your knees?
“I’m talking shit again, aren’t I?” Heather sighs, nods at her knees as if they’re the ones to blame for her tendency toward hogwash.

Knees tend to do that to female minds, I find; especially if we don’t like the way they look, and hide them below long shirts and baggy pants — when brain power is indebted to different areas of expertise and therefore forced to spread itself thin. They say men think with their dicks. Well, I say women think with their knees. You see, there are two. They're separated, as opposed to a penis which is one solid area. In the female mind there is never one solid thought, in one solid place, at any one time. And this ‘jumping’ from knee to knee can cause us to talk gibberish on occasion. But do not be alarmed, the knees are also our source of balance and they are the first point that leads to our source of power verses the penis. We were born to multitask, and therefore our jumping thoughts do not have any long-term effects.

So, whaddaya reckon? I'd like to hear from you blokes on this subject matter too. Have I got it all wrong? ;o)

PS: New signature. Decided I didn't like the old one with the frame, so figured I'd design something that looked good with a frame :o)

  2. Mh-hum...something to ponder. Heck, we are more complex, that's a given. lol

  3. Going in, I thought you were nuts. KNEES? But now I'm going to blame it on my inability to make decisions. My knees are at war and can't come to terms on a single course of action. Yup, I'm blaming it on my knees. Thanks for explaining that for me!

  4. An interesting one, Jessica. I have never given knees the credibility they deserve! :)

  5. I read this and my first thought was: WOW, I've been overlooking knees ALL this time. Mental note made. ;-)

  6. Ha ha - not sure about this one. Knees? I'd say we think with our hearts. :)

  7. I've never given this much thought, thanks for the insight.

  9. I tell'em no more than necessary... They're on a kneed-to-know basis.

They count on me to reflect instead of genuflect.
    ~Wah wah waaaah~
Yes, that was unkneecessary. Apologies all around! : p

  10. My raunchy mind went right to the old joke about how you tell who is the head nurse...she's the one with the dirty knees.
But I get what you are saying, I am the world's least linear thinker. I suspect I think with my elbows AND my knees.

  11. Men think? I thought we just sort of ran around and did things. Kind of like chickens, once you cut off their heads.

  12. I'm a woman, I think with my heart. And my constant need to cover my knees has more to do with not wanting to shave than anything else.

  13. This explains a lot. No wonder when I look a a woman's knees she tells me, "Hey, my eyes are up here."

  14. LOL. What happens if you are slightly bowed legged like me and each knee looks like it belongs to the other leg?!

  15. possibly. I do tend to have at least one solid thought. The frequency of that occurrence is up for debate... ;p

I don't hide my knees, although I'm not convinced they're anything to brag about. Now what does that mean? <3

  17. Interesting theory. I wonder if it will catch on.

  18. I resent the idea that I think with my penis. Actually, it in fact thinks for me. There is a difference.

  19. True story: 23 years ago, my first "boyfriend" and I were at the mall and I got a rip in my jeans at the knee. He says: "Wow, you have nice knees!" I'm over the moon with this and tell my Dad all about it. I'm gushing, thrilled by the compliment. And my dad says: "Sweetheart, you're so naive. He isn't talking about your knees." 20 years later, Jeff looks me up on Facebook and says: "Not sure if you remember me, but I remember you. You were my first love and you had great knees." I married him a year and a half later :-)

  20. What an interesting theroy. Now if my knees could only think, and shout out, "don't run into the coffee table again!" I would be a whole lot happer (or at least less bruised.)

  21. Interesting theory! Wonder what other String Theories you have... :)

  22. So what does that say about someone who is open minded *cough*

Fun little philosophy, though... all kidding aside, I DO like the stream of thought as it points to people who keep their knees together as more focused, but living less rich and varied lives, yeah?

  23. Well, I never thought about this before. Interesting...

  24. Haha! I love the concept of women thinking with their knees! Makes sense to me.

  25. I've never noticed knees before except they separate your lower leg from your thigh. My brains are in my backside........at least that's what people tell me.

    Enjoyed the read.

  27. Jumping thoughts, check. Multi-tasking, check. I guess we do think with our knees!

  28. Jumping thoughts? Yep, thats me. I guess I need to consult my knees more often. :)

  29. I nodded the whole time I was reading this. It makes complete and total sense.

  30. Hey, Jessica!

I believe that both women and men do more talking with their entire bodies and not just in one particular region like the knees or penis.

A lot of people talk using their hands, fidgeting of the feet, pursed lips, or scratching certain places.

The body is a strange thing and often leads to what our unconscious or subconscious is thinking, because we don't always say how we feel or do, but you did bring up something interesting in this article.

I never thought of a woman's knees to be a source of reading how a woman feels, but I guess, now I do.

Thanks for the insight and the awesome post. Write on!

  33. Never thought about it like that, but I'll now be involuntarily staring at ladies' knees like a Victorian pervert from here on in, I reckon :P
