I hope you all had a great weekend! The answer to Saturday's post was, HOPE.
If you are new to this blog please read the note in the header above this post so you know what to do! Thanks!
The emotion / state of mind in this next piece is Jack's:
"Can you believe that the guy over the road, rids his driveway of leaves with the hose? Everyday?" From the window, Kathy turns to face Jack, throws her arms in the air and shakes her head with a huff.
Jack shrugs, stares at the TV and stuffs his face with Oreos.
"Jack, I think we should do something about it. Look at all the water he's wasting?" Kathy says. She walks closer to Jack and puts her hands on her hips.
Jack shrugs, stares at the TV and stuffs his face with more Oreos.
"Jack, this man has to be stopped!" Kathy points her arm toward the window so hard her elbow cracks. "Did you know that in Australia they fine you something like 500 dollars if you are caught wasting water?"
Jack shrugs, stares at the TV and stuffs his face with ... oh, wait, I should reply ... "Um, yeah, and?"
So, can you guess the emotion/feeling/state of mind (a noun) depicted in this piece that begins with the letter ‘I’? Please nip over to Nicole's blog to read her interpretation of our I-prompt word. Here’s the link!

Indifferent/Indifference?
ReplyDeleteI'd have to say indifference but the other pov would've been easier - indignation!
ReplyDeleteI too will go with indifferent.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
Indifferent gets my vote.
ReplyDeletehmmm, the guy over the road seems to be insufferable, kathy seems irritable and Jacks seems indifferent. I seem to be indecisive.

Moody Writing
Indifferent came to mind.
ReplyDeleteI agree - indifference.
ReplyDeleteGreat entry. And it's only 7:45 am over here but suddenly, I'm craving Oreos. Thanks a lot! LOL
ReplyDeleteFirst thing to come to mind was indifference.
ReplyDeleteI thought inconsiderate at first about the neighbor. But the entry is about the husband... How about IGNORING.
ReplyDeletedarn, everyone else already got it! indifferent.
ReplyDeletei like playing games!
happy i day =)
At this point, I means I am always late to the party!
ReplyDeleteMy first thought was interference since that's what she wants to do with the neighbor. Then I thought ignore. But indifference is pretty good, too.
ReplyDelete+JMJ+
ReplyDeleteJack is . . . indifferent? =P
If the state of mind were Kathy's, I would have guessed incredulous . . . although interfering also comes to mind, for some reason. ;-) Lots of cool I-words!
indifference
ReplyDeleteigloo!
ReplyDeleteIndifference it is. Good job! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm with all the others on this, indifference.
ReplyDeleteMust be indifference.
ReplyDeleteJust to be different, insolence! How dare that man waste water clearing leaves!
ReplyDeleteYup, definitely Indifferent! This is a fun way to do this challenge, thank you.
ReplyDeleteJessica, you've received a blog award over on Critique Sisters. Found you through reading comments on other blogs I enjoy, and yours looks great. Nice work!
Indifferent, but I didn't get the same on the other site.
ReplyDeleteIndifferent!
ReplyDeleteEmmm...not totally sure on this one. My guess would be indifference.
ReplyDeleteEllie Garratt
Yeah that's definitely indifference.
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty clear indifference. Love the way you and Nicole are doing the challenge.
ReplyDeleteI'm with mooderino! I love these challenges.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. I've been to both blogs today. :) I'm a fellow A-Z challenger and new follower. :)
ReplyDeleteImpatience!
ReplyDeleteor maybe irritation? :D now to Nicole's~ <3
I'm going to go with indifference as well. :)
ReplyDeleteindifference :)
ReplyDeleteWhat was that about Oreos...? :) Clearly I've not had enough chocolate today.
ReplyDeleteI'd have to go with indifference too.
If indifferent Jack shrugs one more time, irritated/impassioned Kathy is going to kill him!! :)
ReplyDeleteThe first word that came to my mind was complacency, but I keep thinking there's a different word that I'm trying to think of. But I'll go with complacency.

Oh, wait--it's supposed to be an "I" word. No wonder everyone was saying "indifference".
