#AtoZChallenge: Jamiroquai

This band makes me want to dance. They make me want to slip into my sexy silky pants and get jiggy wiv it on a podium in a disco. Um ... I mean get jiggy with the music ... yes? I used to love dancing. In fact, I still do, but I don't do it as often as I used to. When I was a kid I used to move all the furniture against the walls of our living room and create entire routines. Of course, I'd perform them for my parents, and any other person who was interested. I was such a performer as a kid ... I really do wonder what happened to me to suffer so much stage fright as an adult ... hmm ... food for thought ...

What band makes you want to get jiggy wiv it?

Don't forget to drop by Dawn Ius' blog, my partner in crime, to see her music pick for J.

  3. That video always reminds me of that other song. Traveling Without Moving. It also makes me miss the 90s.

  4. LOVE Jamiroquai! Funny you should mention dance routines. Me and a friend of mine made up a dance to Canned Heat one night when we were in the pub lol! We still do it whenever we hear the song now!

  7. You have posed a question to which I have no answer. It depends on my mood. I could get jiggy wiv Barry Manilow if the stars were aligned right.

  11. Cool music. I'd love to win a copy of your CD. I get terrible stage fright too. Maybe as adults we're more critical of ourselves and afraid of other people's criticism? Who knows? I keep thinking the more I perform the easier it will get, right? That hasn't happened yet.

  15. Me too. All of what you said. Jamiroquai, clearing the living room, routines, etc. Except I'm waay older than you and love Indie music and dancing my ass off. Mostly in private with my dogs as an audience. Dropping in from the A to Z. Cheers!

  17. I remember when that video came out, I was definitely part of the MTV generation, and it was ALWAYS on. Definitely cool. I can appreciate the music now, but back then my pallet was smaller...
