I've never listened to Frank, but everyone used to say my father looked like him. And that inspired a line in my debut novel!
What do you reckon? No resemblance at all, right? ;o)

Speaking of resemblance, my A to Z pick singer has a long beard too.
ReplyDeleteI don't listen to Frank Zappa either. His kids were on MTV for a while back in the 1980s or early 90s.
My cousin loved Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention. I could never get into it, but some of the songs are really funny.

ReplyDeleteI saw Zappa's son do the "Zappa on Zappa" tour. Wasn't impressed. By the third song, it all sounded the same.
Your dad really DOES look like him. Though i have to say, your dad eases in front of Frank for attractiveness.

congratulations of finishing the challenge! Zappa was king once upon a time. I remember the rumor about Mr. Green Jeans being his father. you knew you were cool if you went to see Zappa in concert on Halloween.

Oh, there IS a resemblance! I think your dad is better looking though--his facial hair is cleaner. Zappa's eyebrows are a little frightening.

I am a fan of Zappa's music, though not always fond of the lyrics. I started to use Zappa for my dream blog but then decided that the song by the Zombies was one I couldn't resist.
