So the Kinks really got me going. They got me so I can't sleep at night! Yeah ... they really got me now, they got me so I don't know what I'm doing ... am I writing a blog post? Whoops ... I don't have much more to say today except that I'm pretty revved up with all that getting going, I mean ... how can anyone not love the Kinks?
What bands/songs get you going?

Congratulations to Kyra. Lucky!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed them in the 80s too. They had decent MTV airtime.
I'd have had Sunny Afternoon, but they're all great songs. ~Miriam
ReplyDeleteI grew up listening to a lot of 60s music - the Kinks were definitely a favourite. I think you make a very valid point: how can anyone not like them?
ReplyDeleteI remember seeing the Kinks on The Ed Sullivan show. LOved them.
ReplyDeleteThank so much for the album, I can't believe I won!
ReplyDeleteI really like the Kinks a lot too. They had way more great songs than most people realise.
That was probably one of their best songs. Congratulations, Kyra!
ReplyDeleteKinky! Two doses of the Kinks in one day. Thanks Jessica and Rosalind.

The Kinks were awesome - I even loved 'Come Dancing' which nobody else seemed to like :-)

I used to love that song! :)
ReplyDeleteThat was a great song by the Kinks. Some music just has more staying power, especially if we identify with that particular song. Or if it reminds us of an event in our life (concert, music festival, etc.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the musical reminder. . .
Lola, lo-lo-lo-lo-lola! That song has a special place in my heart. :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that song was by "The Kinks"!
ReplyDeleteMy brother and I loved "My Little Run-Away" with the great organ solo. Can't remember the artist at this very moment.
My mum introduced me to the Kinks ;)
