  1. Everybody has a suggestion.
I did take a few suggestions from my first novel and added them to my second. Since I never planned on writing more than one, I appreciated some ideas!

  2. Good point, Alex. Many authors don't think beyond their first novel, and then find they put their all into it, leaving less for the follow-up book. But I'm willing to bet you found inspiration as you went along.

  3. Good luck with that, Carol - whatever suggestions you take on board from well-meaning friends and readers, if book 2 is anything like as readable as book 1, it'll be fabulous! Now all you've got to do is write it...!

  4. Thank you very much, Debbie. That's praise indeed. I'll try to live up to expectations. Back to the manuscript now!

“Allowing an unimportant mistake to pass without comment is a wonderful social grace” ~Judith S. Marin

“I don't ever try to make a serious social comment.” ~Paul McCartney

“I'd make a comment at a meeting and nobody would even acknowledge me. Then some man would say the same thing and they'd all nod.” ~Charlotte Bunch

“Probably what my comment meant was that I don't care about the circumstances if I can tell the truth.” ~Sally Kirkland

“We're not going to pay attention to the silliness and the petty comments. And quite frankly, women have joined me in this effort, and so it's not about appearances. It's about effectiveness.” ~Katherine Harris
