So today, while I work, I will be dreaming of next Saturday (16th), when I will finally get a holiday, and spend two weeks relaxing here ...

Next Saturday I'm leaving for my summer vacation for two weeks, so excuse me today while I stare into space while I try to work and imagine that I'm already there. Because I am SO tired. I need this holiday. I hope to spend each and every day lying on the beach with a good book. This is the beach I hope to become a vegetable on:

And you know I wish I could tell you I'll be staying here:

But unfortunately I am staying here:

Better than nothing, right?

Have a great weekend!

  1. What a gorgeous beach! Wear you sunscreen so you don't become a cooked veggie, but do relax, rejuvenate, and rejoice...you're on vacation!!!!

  2. Hey, some flowers on the table, a couple of bright pillows on the bed, three or four stiff drinks and you won't be able to tell the difference.

  13. Ah, that looks wonderful. Just ENJOY it to the max. In 1975-76 I lived with my first husband and four children in Laie, Oahu, and we had the most amazing beach almost to ourselves for a year. So I know what you mean and how it feels to lie on a warm beach; to feel the sun on your body and the soft sand beneath you.

That's my deletion above. One sentence was scrambled. I've got a crummy cold today (I rarely get sick) that's fogging my head, but I'm still planning to get that review of your poems up by Saturday--unless you'd like to wait until you get back. That might be better for me since I didn't realize what I was doing (hadn't done this before) when I got so many guest posts jammed together. I want to do a great review on your poems, one they deserve, and probably also talk about poetry in general. What do you think? Would you like to look forward to it when you get back?

  20. With all that water and nightlife to play with, who cares about the room so long as the bed is comfortable and the fridge holds plenty of VB!
