Late to the table today ...

Yep, posting later than usual, I know. Had a crazy day finalizing a text book manuscript to go to design. It stresses me out a little, having someone rely solely on me to submit a book that's in pretty much perfect shape before it goes into someone elses hands to be designed. So, sorry about the absence! You know I'd love to be around the blogosphere SO much more! Right?
I'm feeling a little weepy. Um ... yeah ... I'm female. Take wild guess!

  1. It's kind of a pain when the day job interferes with our blogging life, isn't it? Going back to work with the beginning of the school year has taken a real bite out of my blog reading, and I'm not real happy about it!

No worries, life deals its cards with no regards for our desires; as we all know.

  4. Your friends will understand your absence.

Your job pays the bills, and we all have to pay the piper -- so we understand. In America, it is Labor Day, but I am the only one working at my center.

I'm waiting for a reluctant Texas co-worker to grudgingly do her job and call me, so I have a few seconds to echo what everyone has reassured you :

We understand and are rooting for you, Roland

  5. What sort of textbook is it? (History? English? Alligator breeding?)

Sucks when reality gets in the way of our leisure time...

  6. Love your blog Jessica! Just found you at Karen's BBQ. I was the one that brought borek/spanakopita :-)

  7. Take all the time you need, Jess. We'll still be here :D

I hope that the design is fitting in with the manuscript (my tutor has had a few books that have had designs that she didn't approve of, but the publisher thought would sell better).
