#AtoZChallenge: Frank Zappa

My father in 1992                          Frank Zappa
Okay, short and sweet today, being the last day of the challenge and all ...

I've never listened to Frank, but everyone used to say my father looked like him. And that inspired a line in my debut novel!

What do you reckon? No resemblance at all, right? ;o)

Don't forget to drop by Dawn Ius' blog, my partner in crime, to see her music pick for Z.

PS: I will email the last music winner personally tomorrow.

PPS: I'm thinking I might take a blog break until next Monday ... I suppose you'll know my decision if I don't post again this week :o)

  1. Speaking of resemblance, my A to Z pick singer has a long beard too.

I don't listen to Frank Zappa either. His kids were on MTV for a while back in the 1980s or early 90s.

  2. My cousin loved Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention. I could never get into it, but some of the songs are really funny.

  3. I just had a feeling you would go with Zappa!

  4. He did have the "look" didn't he? It's geen a great musical month over here. Time to rest.

  5. Gotta love that hair. "Give me a head of hair, long, beautiful hair..." I'll take a head of hair over a shaved head any day. Congratulations on finishing this challenge.

  6. The resemblance is uncanny.

I saw Zappa's son do the "Zappa on Zappa" tour. Wasn't impressed. By the third song, it all sounded the same.

  7. Your dad really DOES look like him. Though i have to say, your dad eases in front of Frank for attractiveness.
Woo hoo! Congrats on finishing your challege!

  8. They do look a little alike! Well done finishing the challenge!

  9. Zappa is a genius. His son's pretty good too. Congrats on the A-Z challenge. You made it!

  10. congratulations of finishing the challenge! Zappa was king once upon a time. I remember the rumor about Mr. Green Jeans being his father. you knew you were cool if you went to see Zappa in concert on Halloween.

  11. They do look alike!
    Congratulations - we did it!

  12. Oh, there IS a resemblance! I think your dad is better looking though--his facial hair is cleaner. Zappa's eyebrows are a little frightening.

Congrats on finishing! And I'm so excited you will do BuNoWriMo!!!

  13. I am a fan of Zappa's music, though not always fond of the lyrics. I started to use Zappa for my dream blog but then decided that the song by the Zombies was one I couldn't resist.

Congratulations on making it through the A to Z Challenge. Join us on May 7th with your Challenge Reflections post.

  14. Hi Jess .. I have to say that there has to be some influence there! Perhaps it was just the time - I was in SA then .. so things were slightly different.

Zap to the A - Z for this year - congratulations .. cheers Hilary

  15. Frank Zappa - one of a kind. Good choice.
