#AtoZChallenge: Talking Heads

Yep, I'm finally showcasing something from the 80s! Whoop! If you don't know this song by Talking Heads, I think you must have gotten burned down in their house. I was never a huge fan of Talking Heads. I never actually bought any of their albums, but I certainly listened to them on the radio a lot and enjoyed it when I did. You gotta love a bitta 80s drum machine, right?!?!

What do you like listening to, but have never actually purchased?

Don't forget to drop by Dawn Ius' blog, my partner in crime, to see her music pick for T.

REMEMBER! During the challenge, I will choose a random commenter every two days, to receive a free download of one of my albums. Your choice! That's thirteen winners. How does that sound? Tell your friends! Just comment for a chance to win.

  4. Actually you can count me in re Talking Heads too. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a whole album by them and yet I’d probably list ‘Psycho Killer’ in my all-time favourite singles, today anyway – who knows what’ll be in it tomorrow? If I was to think about it I could probably present you with a huge list of bands whose albums I’ve never bought like Radiohead and Snow Patrol. I think the last contemporary album I bought actually was Garbage and how long ago was that? Since then it’s been almost exclusively soundtracks and classical music CDs with the sole exception of Fish who I mentioned a few days ago. And if Pink Floyd ever released a new album, well, that’s a no-brainer.

  5. We bought their greatest hits cd at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in Ohio. My fave song of theirs is Psycho Killer.

  6. It's funny but I appreciate 80's music more today than I did over 20 years ago.

  7. I prefer the song 'Once in a Lifetime' more, but they were good radio tunes, that's for sure.

  9. Perhaps I was in that burned down house, since now I find myself living in a shotgun shack, in another part of the world. How did I get here?

  13. I love these 80s videos. So weird sometimes, but they certainly are original. I used to like Letting the Days Go By (not sure if that is the actual title). I'm also writing about music for the A to Z Challenge!
