Aerosmith singing with Frank Sinatra.

I'm a busy busy busy body, time is lacking, so I'll just leave you with this poem today ...

Responsibility is like driving in the city.
Driving in the city is a road map of mayhem.
A flight schedule delayed from bad weather.
A special occasion with a burnt roast chicken.
A forgotten open tap in the bathtub
A burst sewage pipe in your lounge room.
Salt in your coffee.
Oil on your new dress.
Aerosmith singing with Frank Sinatra.
Planes on the ground, cars in the sky, must I go on?

But if life were like driving on a country road,
Then everything would be all right.
No more never-ending labyrinths of dead ends.
No more journeys through absent-mindedness.
I want
Simplicity
I need
Simplicity
What is life without simplicity?

  5. After Sinatra sang with U2, it got harder to surprise with oddball duets. Still, that one would be hard to pull-off.

  6. I'm getting to the point where I really like poetry! I remember hating it at one point...well, writing it in English class in high school. Maybe I should give it another shot? Maybe ;-)

  7. Your wonderful words match the zany photograph - a car piggybacks a plane. Or is it the other way around, a plane whose claws collect the car?

  8. Be very very very careful what you wish for. It might just come true and you might not like it all that much.

  16. Oh, I don't know... I might be able to go for Sinatra and Aerosmith... then again, I will take Steven Tyler however he comes... a man that in touch with his twisted playful side can pull off just about anything in the Tart's book...

And I like a little chaos in life too... Not that I don't want some solitary simplicity... I just really enjoy mixing it up now and again...

  17. That's a great poem and a great picture. I like simplicity but sometimes I would like to see Aerosmith sing with Frank Sinatra.

  18. simple is real hard cause every one is mostly soooo busy. at my house every one is coming and going all the time. you gotta take out time for more simple stuff or you could get lost in the busy stuff for ever.
